Although I'm happy to be living in sunny Los Angeles with very little rain and primarily one season, I can't help but be drawn to this wonderfully luxurious rainwear collection called Wanda Nylon. Behind this Paris based brand is a creative duo, Peter Hornstein and Johanna Senyk.
Peter is a German designer who specializes in high tech materials and Johanna is a stylist and fashion consultant who has worked with some of my favorite collections such as Anthony Vacarello, J.W. Anderson, and The Row.
Designing fashionable rainwear staples, they became popular in Europe and Asia with such items as their transparent moto jackets, trench coats, and parkas with contrast piping and turtle prints. Their jackets and other pieces are made of vinyl, powder matte PVC, nylon, and other unique fabrications.
The collection has evolved into other categories since their SS2013 launch. With pencil skirts, blazers, and sweaters all made of water resistant fabrics, Wanda Nylon has stayed true to their core. The pieces are so beautiful, I don't need extreme weather as a reason to wear the collection.
